VIDEO: It’s ‘Leaf Peeping Time’ in Maine

It’s that time of year again, when folks get in their cars and drive very slowly, with their faces pressed against the window — right in front of you. Your only defense against the madness is to join in, of course. So, go get in your car, drive around and gawk at the leaves.

My friends Steve and Jeff — the other two-thirds of the Half Moon Jug Band — and I made up a song about this yearly foliage phenomenon.

Maine’s Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry actually tracks where the best leaf peeping can be had at any given moment in the Pine Tree State.

And if you want to see the Half Moon Jug Band play this tune in person, come on out to the big show this weekend at the Poland Spring Resort in Poland, Maine. We’re having a buffet and shindig with The Squid Jiggers and Dave Rowe.
