I had a walk early this morning at the old Riverton Trolley Park on the banks of the Presumpscot River in Portland with my dog. A duck swam through a reflection of the fall foliage — which has finally made its way to Southern Maine — and I couldn’t help but snap a few frames. The trolley park was a kind of amusement park with boating and a vaudeville stage, built about a hundred years ago at the end of the trolley line. The company built it to attract trolley car riders on the weekends. It was abandoned, along with the trolley line, sometime before WWII.
