Hadlock Field was less than half full of cold, slightly damp fans tonight as the Portland Sea Dogs took the field against the Binghamton Mets in their home opener. Dark clouds scattering rain and a 48-degree game time temperature spurred one rooter to blurt, “Throw him the heater, it’s cold out,” to starting Dogs pitcher Brock Huntzinger in the first inning.
